Apprenticeships is a longer-term professional relationships between a student and an expert in the field. These opportunities are typically a 6 to 24 month commitment, and are paid positions. Apprenticeships are most commonly available in the construction trades. A student learns about the career, the skills necessary to be successful in it, and gradually perform the tasks more independently as they progress through the program.
