A Typical Day

  • Coordinate production, processing, and distribution for many types of manufacturing and industry.
  • Develop or implement production tracking or quality control systems.
  • Communicating with your team to resolve production or processing problems.
  • Hire, train, evaluate, or discharge staff or resolve interpersonal conflicts.
  • Writing production reports or personnel records.
  • Set and monitor product standards to ensure finished quality products.
  • Create budgets for supplies to efficiently meet production targets.
  • Begin and coordinate inventory or cost control programs.
  • Coordinate facility maintenance or modification, including the replacement of machines.
